1965 Land Rover Series IIA 109 Station Wagon 4x4

The seller of this 1965 Land Rover Series IIA 109 Station Wagon 4x4 says it is exactly the same as seen in the movie Out of Africa. He is certainly thinking of a different flick, as that 1985 multiple Oscar winner was set in 1913. But we get the picture. If you are old enough to have watched Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom in the Sixties and Seventies, you likely saw some of these Series IIA Landies roving about there, too. Those big- and small-screen appearances no doubt helped spread the reputation of the Land Rover as a go-anywhere mechanized pack mule long before they became luxury wagons. Simple as an anvil and able to resist rust with an aluminum body, the Series IIA was built from 1961 to 1971.
