1956 Ford F100 Pickup

With what is described as a fully known history since new, and reported to have undergone a four-year restoration process that ended with an AACA Grand National Senior award, this 1956 Ford F100 Pickup is said to have been the recipient of a nut and bolt restoration that has left this half-ton truck in show-worthy condition. The restoration reportedly started with a solid, rust-free vehicle that has only traveled an estimated 500 miles since 2007, when the project was finished.- no body blemishes on the truck, no rust, and says the F100 is functional despite having been stored post-restoration for three years. This F100 is powered by the base 223-cu.in. OHV inline-six. With a compression ratio of 7.8:1, the engine received its fuel mixture via a one-barrel carburetor and was rated by the manufacturer at 133 horsepower when new. The engine in this F100 is reported to be original to the truck and to have been rebuilt 500 miles ago.- the engine starts without smoke when the manual choke is engaged. No issues with the manual transmission are noted.- an oil leak, possibly from the rear main seal, after the truck has been sitting. The leak has reportedly not recurred. The engine bay presents as stock and virtually spotless. The two-stage Torch Red paint was applied in 2007 and is reported to be in great shape, with no dents, chips, scratches, or other blemishes noted, the seller stating that the F100 was trailered to shows. All new cab seals have reportedly been installed. The truck's body shows no outward imperfections, and the cargo bed displays no dents or other damage.- the F100's windshield and rear window are original, with the door glass being replacements. All glass is said to be free of cracks. All lights work, with new wiring and bulbs. The underside presents as virtually spotless, with no visible surface corrosion or damage - The red vinyl and tan cloth seating materials are reportedly new as of the restoration and appear to be in very good, damage-free condition. The floor has a rubber mat that is described as new. The cardboard headliner is reportedly new, with functional dome lighting. The cab interior is described as having full factory trim and all small controls. The steel dashboard presents very strongly, with the seller noting that all instruments work, with some fluttering from the speedometer. There is no audio system or air conditioning.  The heater is reportedly inoperative. -- that any chassis repairs necessary were performed under his ownership. The manual steering reportedly functions without issues. All shock absorbers, bushings, and related components were reportedly replaced during the restoration and are described as being like new.- the manual drum brakes work as new, with a new master cylinder, and wheel cylinders and linings, among other upgrades. The 6.70-15 tires are estimated to be at least 15 years old, but DOT date codes are not visible in the images provided. Receipts for work performed will be provided.
