1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia This 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was modified under previous ownership with the installation of a turbocharged and fuel-injected 2,332cc flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle as well as a repaint in orange over black vinyl and cloth upholstery. Additional upgrades include 15” Eagle alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Proma Star coilover shocks, and a CB Performance Gen4 EFI controller. Acquired in 2021, the car was serviced in February 2023 with an oil change and replacement belts, rear shocks, and front suspension bushings. This modified Karmann Ghia is now offered with service records and a Texas title in the seller’s name. The Karmann-built body was repainted orange in 2012 following removal of the front and rear bumpers, drip rails, badging, and trim. Exterior features include a vented engine cover, aftermarket front turn signals, Karmann Ghia fender badges, bullet-style side mirrors, a single primary exhaust tip, and secondary outlet for the turbocharger wastegate. Floor pan and frame stiffeners are reported to have been fitted, and the wiper blades have been removed. The car does not have high-beams. Silver-finished 15″ Eagle alloy wheels are mounted with 165/80 Toyo Ultra Z900 Premium Touring front and 195/60 Nankang CX-668 rear tires. A full-size body-color steel spare is stored in the front trunk. Stopping power is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled disc brakes, and the car is equipped with Proma Star coilover shocks. The rear shocks and front suspension bushings are said to have been replaced in February 2023. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl and cloth along with a body-color dashboard and a gray tweed headliner.
