1969 AMC AMX Go Package I am the fourth owner of this 1969 AMC AMX. I purchased it in 2019. The car was completely restored in 2020 as a Day 2 car. It has been driven about 300 miles since restoration including a complete repaint. The black interior has been replaced. The original 390 engine, Muncie T-10 4 speed transmission and 3.54 limited-slip rear end have all been rebuilt. The undercarriage has been cleaned and repainted. The suspension has been reworked. The only two options on the car are the Go Package and the 390 CID motor. The 20K miles shown on the odometer are true. PowertrainThe 315-horsepower, 425-lb-ft of torque, 390 [Contact Dealer] ., four-barrel, OHV V8 (code X in the VIN) is original to the car. It's currently equipped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake (have the original cast iron intake), air cleaner and aluminum rocker covers, Pertonix ignition system and custom dual exhausts and a mild Crane cam.ExteriorThe car has been repainted the original Matador Red with a white over-the-top racing strip. The car has no bondo. The trim is complete. The bumpers have been rechromed. I have the original space saver spare tire but do not have the jack or lug wrench. Interior The stock front bucket seats have been recovered in black vinyl. Both the headliner and carpet are new. The trim is complete. The factory instruments, including the speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel and temperature gauges all work. There is a column mounted vintage Sun tach. ChassisThe suspension was completely redone as part of the restoration. There are air shocks in the rear. The power front disc/rear drum brakes were also refurbished. The BFGoodrich T/A tires (purchased July of 2021) are on vintage American Racing wheels. Documentation The vehicle will be sold on a clean Michigan title in my name. I also have the original AMC service manual.
