If there were a Mount Rushmore of Fifties collectible cars, a 1957 Chevrolet would have to be one of the monuments. All series and models of '57 Chevrolets are popular but two-door Bel Airs (convertible, hardtop, and Nomad) are definitely podium cars. This restored 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe is a great example of why these cars have maintained their popularity for 66 years.- the 283-cubic inch V8 is original to the car. The Super Turbo-Fire 283 V8, with a single four-barrel carburetor, received a factory rating of 220 horsepower. He states that cold starts require a couple pedal pumps and the engine fires right up with no smoke or leaks. He has seen some transmission fluid leaks from the Powerglide two-speed automatic when it sits over the winter but after summer driving those leaks disappear. - the transmission shifts -fine.- The car has no rust, , who states that the body panels are straight with perfect fit and finish.
