Description
With the high-profile success of the 1983 and '84 Hurst/Olds models, the 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 brought back a regular-production performance-oriented option to the brand's lineup. Production was limited to 3,000 cars, and this 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 has only 33,554 original miles. She reportedly purchased the car in 1985, when she was 16, and has used it only for weekend drives and shows. No one has ever drank, eaten, or smoked in the car, who adds it has also never seen snow, sleet, or rain. It appears to be a very well preserved 442 that reportedly has only had its tires and battery replaced. Everything else is said to be factory-original. - The 1985 442 was powered by a 307-cubic-inch V8 rated at 180 horsepower.- this example's engine is original and starts, idles, and runs perfectly. There are no reported leaks, either, and the complementing four-speed automatic transmission reportedly shifts like a dream. - the original paintwork on this 442 is blemish-free and the body is rust-free. The car has T-tops that reportedly have been removed only five times. Additionally, the exterior trim appears in great shape, while the glass and seals are said to be in perfect condition, with no scratches or cracks in the windshield. All the exterior lighting is reported functional. - Inside, the 442's grey cloth cabin is said to be in perfect condition, with no appreciable wear, stains, or holes in the seat covers, carpet, and headliner. The door panels, console, steering wheel, and dash pad also appear in very good condition and the seller reports all the trim is intact. All the interior lights are said to work normally, along with the gauges, power locks and windows, the cassette stereo, and even the air conditioning system. - The chassis, suspension, and brake systems have reportedly been maintained in stock condition and the seller reports no service work has ever been performed on the suspension. The brakes are also said to work well. The car stops on a dime. The P215 /65R15 Firestone Firehawk SS10 tires were reportedly replaced about five years ago and are said to show most of their tread. They're mounted on the original steel wheels, which are said to be in great condition.. Additional paperwork for this claimed-one-owner 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 includes the window sticker. It appears to be a well-preserved example of Oldsmobile's mid-Eighties' muscle car, with only 33,554 time-capsule miles showing on the odometer.
