One of 850 similar cars produced that year, this 1941 Lincoln Continental coupe is described as a strong running, well-preserved example that is very highly original, including paint and powertrain, other than for a fully redone interior. Designated as a Full Classic by the Classic Car Club of America, this Continental is further reported to have mostly new glass and its original V-12 engine rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago. All exterior brightwork is said to have been detailed and polished for an as-new appearance. The Continental was powered in 1941 by the Ford-designed 292-cu.in. L-head V-12. With a compression ratio of 7.2:1 and a downdraft Holley two-barrel carburetor, the engine was rated by the manufacturer at 120 horsepower when new. No smoke on startup is reported. - no issues with the three-speed manual transmission plus overdrive, and he reports slight leaks from the rear main seal and transmission. The engine bay appears to be stock and strongly clean, in the provided photos. - the paint on this Continental is entirely original and appears to show hazing due to age under close inspection. The body seals are said to be either new or in good condition. - some surface rust on panels on the underside of the car. The chrome, reported to have been refinished and polished, presents as being in excellent condition. The seller further states that most glass and associated rubber gasketing has been replaced. All lighting is termed functional. The underside looks to be generally clean, with surface corrosion on some components visible in the photos - - the interior of this Continental has been fully renewed including seat facings, carpeting, headliner, sun visors, and the glove compartment. - a small tear to the driver's seat has been repaired. The materials otherwise present as being in excellent, undamaged condition. The radio, clock, windshield wipers, and cigar lighters are presently inoperative, who also notes there is full dashboard trim. The instrumentation is said to be fully functional and the heater to operate properly. The carpeted trunk presents as being strongly clean, in the photos. - The seller makes no statement about the Lincoln's most recent chassis service. The suspension components are reported to be in good, undamaged condition. The hydraulic drum brakes are said to perform well.- a few scratches on the wheel rims, which mount tires said to have nearly full tread. Additional documentation includes receipts for most work.
