Description
With 540 supercharged horsepower and the capability to run the quarter-mile in less than 13 seconds, the 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was described by one road-test publication as all ate-up with power. That sums it up perfectly ' and this example, in Performance White with red stripes, may just be all ate-up with power, but it's not all ate-up with road miles. It has racked up a mere 3,867 of them in the 12 years since it rolled off the assembly line, all of them with the seller. The car is said to present as new, and was used mostly for car shows. It is cleaner than most showroom cars and still has that new-car smell, notes the seller. Powering the GT500 is a supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V-8, rated by Ford at 540 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. The supercharger is one of Eaton's 2300 TVS-series compressors. Backing the blown 5.4-liter is a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual that channel's the engine's torque to a limited-slip rear differential fitted with 3.31 gears. All of the powertrain components in this car are said to be original, unmodified and in like new condition. There are no reported leaks with any of the components. According to Ford records, there were 4,458 2010 Shelby GT500 models produced in 2010, but only 74 of them, like this example, were coupes in Performance White with red trim. - the paintwork is original and in mint condition, with no reported blemishes. The same goes for the exterior trim, glass and seals. All are said to be in essentially like new condition. No reported issues with the exterior lighting, either. Like the rest of this 3,867-mile car, the GT50's cockpit appears to be in virtually new condition, with essentially no wear and no aftermarket components. It is presented in as-delivered condition, which includes red-striped leather seats and unique Shelby and GT500 trim throughout. All of the power accessories, the air-conditioning system and the Shaker audio system are reported to work normally. - - the chassis, suspension and braking elements are in as-delivered condition, with no service work performed. No knowns issues, either. Its equipment roster, compared to other Mustang models, includes standard Brembo four-piston front calipers with 14-inch rotors, unique spring rates and front stabilizer bar, a firmer steering shaft coupling and specific Tokico front struts. It also rolls on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires mounted on 19-inch aluminum wheels. All are said to be in mint original condition. Additional paperwork for this 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 includes Ford documentation 'including the production certificate from Ford Performance Group ' and a Carfax report. With only 3,867 original miles, this supercharged Shelby appears in nearly new condition and remains, like the story said, all ate-up with power.
