Description
The 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 convertible is nearly 23 years old. Anyone who longed for one of these stylish high-performance pony cars back when they were new should let that statement resonate for a moment.
Unlike many other nearly-23-year-old cars, this particular 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Convertible has just 9,158 miles on its odometer, so it isn't too late to get that like-new driving experience from the Fourth-Gen that once fueled your adolescent desires for powering through curves, and navigating the shift pattern of the six-speed, with nothing but blue sky above.
Originally purchased from Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque New Mexico, this Z28 only had one owner until May 2022 when I bought it, the seller states. It's in showroom condition, has been stored indoors and covered, and all of its service records support its low mileage. The original window sticker and certificate of origin for a vehicle, are also included in the sale. - that the 305-horsepower, 5.7-liter, sequential-fuel-injected aluminum LS1 engine is original to the car, starts with no smoke, and has no leaks. The Tremec six-speed manual transmission shifts fine, a limited-slip differential is out back, and traction control was specified. The Monterey Maroon paint is original, in excellent condition with no blemishes, and has not been buffed. This car is always stored indoors and is covered. Its convertible top, glass, and seals also rate as excellent, and everything works as it should, including the lighting - Again, we have excellent across the board for the extra-cost Neutral (tan) upholstery with leather seating surfaces, the carpet, and the trim. All of the standard and optional (see window sticker) power-assisted accessories including the windows and locks operate as designed, as do the gauges, A/C, heat, and Premium Monsoon sound system. - New 245/50R16 Falken Ziex tires, installed in late 2016, mark the only change in the chassis since the Z28 was built. There are only about 1,000 miles on them, and the 16-inch aluminum wheels are mark-free. The performance suspension hasn't required servicing, and there are no issues with the power steering or four-wheel power disc brakes with ABS. Along with the documents already mentioned above, the original purchase paperwork, service records, owner's manual, and a Carfax vehicle history report are also included.
Bangin' gears on the backroads with the Hurst shifter while the LS1 revs freely and the Monsoon rages out of its speakers is just one of several potential scenarios that await the new owner. Or perhaps the lifestyle will consist of car shows, limited driving, proper storage, and continued preservation of this low-mileage, original 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Convertible.
