2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R

Although it was designed and equipped from the factory as a track-ready monster, this adult-owned 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R seems to have been treated gently all its life. It's offered for sale by its original owner, who has never tracked or raced it and has kept it stored in a climate-controlled garage since purchased. Of the 633 GT350R Mustangs produced for 2018, only 37 came in Lightning Blue, and only 21 of those also sported the red-accented racing stripe. Introduced as an even higher-performance version of the high-performance Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, the R variant turned the iconic pony car up to 11. It was the first mass-production road car ever to be fitted with carbon fiber wheels as standard equipment, and Ford gave it every opportunity to achieve its maximum potential by doing away with unnecessary extras in favor of weight reduction.The flat-plane crank, 5.2-liter DOHC V8, codenamed Voodoo, was factory rated by the manufacturer at 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque.- no problems starting the car on cold start and says he has observed no engine leaks. He further notes that the standard six-speed manual transmission and clutch work perfectly.- that both the Mustang's Lightning Blue paint and its body are flawless and that he has taken great care to keep them so. The car is never parked in such a way that it is exposed to potential for any damage,and he makes it a practice to hand wash cars only using a deionized water filter and carefully dry them with a new, soft chamois. The car sports the optional carbon fiber rear wing and Over-the-Top racing stripe from the factory. I have observedno scratches or cracks in any of the glass. - that all seals are in place and as new, there is no rust, and all lights function as new. The only modification to the car's exterior is a windshield banner, which can be removed - The car is equipped with dual-zone automatic temperature control, and that both the heat and air conditioning are working. The Recaro sport seats are said to have no flaws in their cloth and Miko suede surfaces, and all adjustments work as from new. The GT350R omitted rear seats, floor mats, auxiliary gauges, and the audio system standard, as a weight-saving measure, and this example does have the rear seat delete. Because it is also equipped with the $3,000 R-Electronics package, however, it came with a premium Sony sound system, voice-activated navigation, and Ford's Sync 3, running through the optional 8-inch touchscreen.- that the radio and speakers remain unmodified and they operate as delivered. He also says that the carpet and headliner are both in as new condition, as is the interior trim. All gauges work as new, and door windows operate properly. The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel also appears to be in good condition. - No service has been necessary for the MagneRide suspension. The electronic power-assist steering is said to work as designed, with no leaks observed, and the steering wheel points straight ahead when driving the car straight. He also says that all bushings and shocks are in as-new condition and uses the same descriptor for the brakes, which feature two-piece vented rotors and red Brembo calipers (six-piston in front and four-piston in rear). The $7,500 Equipment Group optioned on this Shelby GT350R added 19-inch carbon fiber wheels, which are in perfect condition with no scratches, chips, or marks of any kind.  They are said to communicate no vibrations at any speed. - that the car still wears its original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and the DOT date code visible in one photo does show that that tire was manufactured in March of 2018.
