1999 Plymouth Prowler with Matching Trailer - 3,709-Mile

Audacious, ambitious, and whimsical, the Plymouth Prowler was a concept car come to life'an auto show fantasy that made the rare transformation to showroom reality. Its performance quotient increased in 1999, when a new, aluminum-block 3.5-liter V-6 delivered a nearly 40-horsepower boost under the hood. This 1999 Plymouth Prowler, in Prowler Red with chrome wheels, shows only 3,700 miles on the odometer, who says he is the car's second registered owner and notes this low-mileage factory hot rod is mint. It is always stored in a temperature-controlled building when not in use, who adds it comes with a matching trailer (with cover), both keys, the window sticker, and all of the original manuals. - Under the hood, is the original 253-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and four-speed Autostick transmission, which allowed conventional automatic shifting or clutchless manual gear changes. The engine, transmission, and complementing drivetrain components on this low-mileage example are reported to be in excellent original condition, with no known leaks or weeping. The engine is reported to start, idle and run normally. Real-world experience with aluminum-intensive construction was one of the reasons for the Prowler's production and the exterior features the lightweight alloy for its hood, decklid, and doors, as well as the underlying frame on which the body is attached. All the exterior panels on this car, regardless of the material in which they were stamped, appear to be in excellent condition.- the Prowler Red paintwork is perfect, with no blemishes, no swirls, and no scratches. The glass presents like new in the photos, along with excellent-condition seals all around. The same goes for the chrome-finish 17-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. - Trimmed in black, including the leather bucket seats, this Prowler's cockpit is also in essentially new condition, with virtually no appreciable wear visible. It also appears to be completely stock, with everything from the instruments and lights to the power windows, locks, and air-conditioning system reported to be in working order. It is also equipped with the optional six-disc CD changer. A color-keyed dashboard insert, matching the exterior color, was a detail Plymouth employed with all Prowler models. The tire pressure light is on in the instrument panel (apparently a common problem with Prowlers), but reportedly all of the tire pressure readings check out normal. - - the chassis, suspension, and brake components have been maintained in stock, virtually new condition and are in good order, with the only known issue being cracked sway-bar link bushings. There is no known service that has ever been done on the suspension or brakes. It is reported to roll on the original 17- and 20-inch aluminum wheels, which are said to be free of curb rash. - the original tires have been replaced, and that those on the car date from 2012 and show almost all of their remaining tread. Additional documentation includes the original window sticker and all factory books and manuals, including the build sheet. Extra equipment includes the matching Prowler trailer, along with a cover for it, and a custom Alpine security system (not installed). With only 3,700 miles on the clock, it would be logical to keep the miles low on this almost perfectly preserved 1999 Plymouth Prowler, but with a folding top, a trailer for the luggage, and the more powerful V-6 engine, it would also be difficult to resist the temptation to head out and prowl the backroads.
