 Vehicle Description
This 1988 Chevrolet V30 Silverado Crew-Cab 4x4 Dually Pickup reportedly has recent paint and a modified V8 engine putting out 450 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The truck has a 6-inch lift and new wheels and tires, and that it only needs a bit of interior work to bring the inside to the level of the exterior. - The truck is powered by a brand new 454-cu.in. V8, which has four-bolt mains, 10.25:1 compression, large-oval-port 781 heads, .219/.188 stainless-steel valves, a .540 lift/.278 advertised duration street camshaft, a dual-plane air-gap intake manifold, MSD Atomic electronic fuel injection, and brand new ceramic Hedman headers. - there are 100 miles on new engine. The engine is coupled to a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 three-speed automatic transmission, which , shifts great. He also mentions that the rear driveshaft is brand new. The truck was painted in 2022, and he has no blemishes or condition issues to report. The exterior has a few modifications, including a chrome square-tube grille, side steps, clear lenses on the taillamps, running lights on the tailgate, and dark tint on the side and rear windows. The truck features all the correct emblems, including the rare 3 cab emblem reserved for the low-production crew cabs. Silverado trim includes the chrome trip rail moldings, mirrors, and brushed aluminum tailgate applique, which all appear to be in good condition. The front and rear bumpers appear to be in very good condition, with no signs of pitting or rust. The bed appears to have been treated with a spray-in bedliner in black, and there's a provision for a fifth wheel hitch in the bed floor - Inside, the seller mentions that the truck could use some finishing touches to bring the cabin to the same level of quality as the exterior. The front and rear seats are non-matching. The front has been reupholstered in black with a different layout than the original seat, with more vinyl seating surface than the original upholstery had. The rear seat is original and shows a hole near the shoulder of the outboard driver's side passenger. The floor is covered with a black rubber mat which appears to be in good shape. The headliner appears to have no sags, but the seller mentions that the dome light needs a new lens and bulb. The driver's-side front door panel has some missing trim around the door pull. The rest of the door panels appear to be in decent shape, with no obvious signs of damage in the photos. The interior trim appears to be white in the photos and may have faded to that color over time. The photos show that the dash is covered with a fabric pad. There are visible cracks in the lower portion of the dash pad and near the instrument panel. The gauges are reportedly working, but the brushed surface of the instrument panel surround has begun to wear off.- that the fan switch on the HVAC system is missing, but the air conditioning is functional. The truck has a Panasonic AM/FM/CD player, but it's not working. - Photos of the undercarriage of this Texas truck show no corrosion on the floors, inner fenders, frame, or suspension components.- no leaks from the power steering system and says that it's properly aligned with no excessive play. The suspension has a 6-inch lift from Skyjacker, and the photos show that the shocks and bushings appear to be in good shape. The brakes work great, . The truck has KMC XD wheels that are brand new, along with the 295/65R20 Nitto Trail Grappler tires. I provides a Carfax vehicle history report, and says he has receipts for the recent work accomplished. Today, crew cab pickups are everywhere, but in 1988, crew cabs were essentially all relegated to fleets. This example appears to be clean, extensively modified and in need of a bit of interior updating to make it a showpiece.
