 Vehicle Description
This two-row 1971 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Station Wagon looks and drives like new, who acquired the car in 2021.He believes the 54,252-mile odometer reading to be accurate.- that the two-barrel, 240-horsepower, 350-lb-ft of torque, 350-cu.in. OHV V8 is original to the car, and a photo of the partial VIN on the block, which matches the body VIN, confirms it.Pump the gas pedal three-or-four times, turn the key, and the car starts right up. It idles a bit high initially, but it can be 'kicked down' immediately. It does not smoke on start up.The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and has no issues, he adds. Per the 1971 Oldsmobile SPECS Book, the standard rear gear ratio was 3.08:1.The seller thinks the code-24 Nordic Blue paint may be original, and says that it's in excellent condition with no rust, swirls, or blemishes. The glass and seals are also excellent, with no leaks. All of the lights work as they should.Excellent, was also used to describe the seats, carpet, and headliner in the code-313 blue vinyl interior.- everything works, including the gauges; HVAC system; radio; 8-track tape player; power windows and door locks; and cruise control. Auto Gage indicators keep tabs on the volts, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The engine bay and undercarriage appear to have been restored at some point, and the bushings and shocks are said to be in great condition. No curb rash or pitting are present on the 14-inch steel wheels or the wheel covers, and there are no vibrations when driving, the seller notes. The tires are in excellent condition, but their ages aren't known and the DOT date codes aren't visible in the photos. No play, leaks, or weeps are in the power steering system, the wheel points straight when the car is travelling straight, and this wagon rides really well' like a boat, the seller jokes.-The transmission seal drips a little fluid. The power front disc/rear drum brakes work, but the seller reports, -There is a leaky wheel cylinder that needs to be replaced. I wouldn't drive it down the road without first repairing it.- COMES WITH Touchup paint for the exterior, interior, and the woodgrain is included.A California Car Cover also comes with the Vista Cruiser. A friend of mine bought this vehicle in California a few years back, trailered it to Michigan, parked it in a hangar, and covered it, the seller recounts. He would drive it occasionally to town to get ice cream, but he recently passed away. The owner's manual and some warranty papers are included. This believed-to-be-low-mileage 1971 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Station Wagon can serve admirably as a stylish and comfortable driver that may conjure up a few childhood memories for its new owner and those who encounter it on the street or at events.
