 Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was restored and modified in 2015 by a previous owner, who says it runs and drives great, thanks to a rebuilt LS2 V8 and automatic transmission. The original engine was replaced by a 6.0-liter LS2 OHV V8 of unspecified vintage that was rebuilt 2,400 miles ago, who says the engine starts up after sitting without any issues, idles smoothly, and doesn't smoke. - the engine had a tune-up and leak mitigation in March 2022. The provided photos show a FiTech fuel-injection system and tubular exhaust headers. No horsepower estimates were given but LS2 engines were known to produce 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque in Corvettes. The three-speed automatic transmission is controlled by a Hurst Pro-Matic 2 ratchet shifter that works as intended. The engine has a push button starter. The custom blue paint with white rally stripes was applied in 2015 when the car was restored by a previous owner, who qualifies the paint condition as fair, with a slight wrinkle on the passenger's door but no dents. - there is some paint chipping around the trunk. There are no scratches or cracks on the glass and all the seals were replaced in March 2022, so there are no water leaks. The only reported rust is some surface rust on the rear axle. The Camaro has a cowl induction style hood and a trunk spoiler - The blue velour upholstery is without flaws,- the seat adjusters work well, and the headliner doesn't sag. The carpet condition is rated as fair . The aftermarket steering wheel has a wood rim. The aftermarket gauges work properly, and the stereo is a Bluetooth-enabled Alpine unit with a subwoofer that's mounted in the trunk. The car has the correct Camaro air conditioning vents in the dash, but the A/C doesn't work although the heater does. -- the car drives straight with no alignment issues and adds that the steering is responsive, with no rattles. A new power steering pump was added in 2021 and it doesn't leak, who states that there are no known issues with either the brakes or the shocks. The U.S. Mags alloy wheels were installed in late 2021 and they have no curb rash or pitting.- the 245/35ZR20 (front) and 285/30ZR20 (rear) Ohtsu tires have less than 300 miles of use. The DOT codes show that the tires were manufactured in 2020. This modified 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe has been restored and updated with as LS2 V8, automatic transmission, and custom paint and upholstery.- it's available because he doesn't have time to enjoy it.
