Description
Up for sale we have a custom one-off 1933 Duesenberg Replica built in California in the 70's. This is not your average kit car, just under 18 feet long, this is a big full size 4 seater car with a steel body and thick fiberglass fenders, utilizing a 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille as the donor car, Cadillac frame, suspension, Cadillac powertrain - 472 V8 engine and turbo 400 transmission. The gentleman who built it had a true passion for prewar vehicles and knew what he was doing, a-very well built replica that countless hours went into and being that it's a custom one off, you'll never find another one like it so don't miss your chance to own this Duesenberg recreation! Finished in a black/silver two-tone color combination with the iconic Duesenberg body molding and a black leather interior. Plenty of authentic prewar features found all around such as the large chrome teardrop headlights, Duesenberg style grill with flying lady ornament, long split hood with louvered vents, vintage spotlights and turn signals, chrome framing on the roll up windows - front and rear, dual cowl lamps, long running boards with molding that continues onto the fenders like Duesenberg was known to do, large antique trunk - similar to Ford Model A leather trunks but much larger, again this is a big and heavy automobile, huge chrome tail lights, dual trumpet horns and much more to be mentioned. Fitted with 6 Brand New wide whitewall tires and 6 new real wire wheels, a $6,500 package! On the inside you'll find two black leather seats in the front and a bench in the rear effectively making this a four seater, the front seats can be tilted to allow access to the rear. Also features a nice wooden dash with AC/Heating, AC compressor is working, it might need a service and some freon added. You'll find a standard cassette player on the dash but hidden inside the glovebox is a modern Pioneer CD player, overall a very nice and clean interior that was well taken care of. This recreation is powered by a Big Block Cadillac V8 472 7.7L engine mated to an automatic turbo 400 transmission, plenty of power for a big solid car, nice and clean engine compartment, car runs, drives, shifts and brakes as it should, power steering, power brakes and with its long Cadillac wheelbase the ride is very smooth. Only 3,733 miles since the car was built back in the 70's, condition is beautiful but not new or perfect, this Duesy tribute was put together a long time ago, the two tone black/silver paint scheme is still nice and shiny but again, not new, minor flaws are present. Convertible top has a very solid frame also a nice chromed frame window with etched glass, black canvas is old but the top is still fully functional. You can find online Mercedes 500K replicas, Auburn or Cord and a lot of other replicas of the most famous automobiles but not very often Duesenberg recreations and even if you do they're asking crazy money compared to this reasonably priced replica.
