Description
This 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition was the penultimate C6 Corvette ever produced. During this car's production, he walked the assembly line and had workers involved in the build sign a commemorative poster and the framed, signed poster accompanies the sale. The identical C6, which came down the line behind this one, sits in the Corvette Museum, making this the last C6 that was sold to the public. The Corvette celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2013, the same year production wrapped on the model's sixth generation. To mark the occasion, Chevy finally introduced the hot convertible the world was waiting for: The 427 Convertible was as close as the Bowtie came to a drop-top version of the Z06, sharing nearly every performance component with the supercar but built on the base Corvette's steel frame instead of the Z06's aluminum one.Under the hood of the Corvette 427 Convertible is the LS7 engine, a 7.0-liter (427-cu.in.) OHV V8 that was rated by the manufacturer at 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque when new. Just as in the Z06, the LS7 benefits from a dry sump oil system.- that the six-speed manual transmission shifts very smoothly. - the car is stored in the winter and regarding a cold start, says on a cool fall day, there are zero issues. Finally, he reports no leaks or weeps of fluids. The 427 Convertible Collector Edition adds the ZR1-style rear spoiler, the carbon fiber raised hood, and the carbon fiber Z06-style fenders. Because this Corvette also has the optional 60th Anniversary package, it sports a carbon fiber front splitter and rocker panels as well. - there are no swirls visible in the factory Arctic White paint. - that the glass, windows, and seals are like new, and all lights work and function. As for the convertible soft top, that it is like new and functions as expected. Though he has reportedly never driven the car in the rain, he has been able to check for roof leaks while washing the car and has found none. The 60th Anniversary Stripe package optioned on this Corvette extends from the bodywork to the roof - This Corvette features the Diamond Blue interior color scheme that was only available with the 60th Anniversary Package. The blue leather seats with 60th anniversary headrest embroidery appear to be in very good condition, and the seller describes them as like new. - the same of the matching blue cloth convertible roof, which is powered thanks to the 1SC package, and of the carpets. -the power windows and locks are working and that there are no accuracy issues with the gauges, of which that none are broken or disconnected. The dual-zone automatic climate control works, and the nine-speaker Bose premium audio system is said to be like new. - - that the car's Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension has not required service during his ownership. - there is no play in the steering, saying that the wheel points straight and the car drives like factory new. - no issues with the brakes and says that the bushings and shocks appear in like-new shape. The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear machined-face wheels appear to be original and in good shape, and he has observed no curb rash on the wheels. The DOT date code visible on one of the Michelin rear tires dates its production to May of 2020. Additional documentation for this 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition includes the owner's manual, window sticker, and Museum Pickup paperwork, as well as a Carfax vehicle history report.- plan to include the framed commemorative poster, which was signed by the line workers who helped assemble this car, in the sale of this C6 Corvette, the last ever sold to the public.
