Like the famous Tri-Five Chevy models of the Fifties, the 1962-'64 Impalas form a triumvirate of classic Bowtie prominence. This example is to be an authentic 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport Coupe, with a 283 engine, Powerglide transmission, and -no rust.- It reportedly spent its early years in Arizona, but has been in Missouri for approximately the past 30 years. Most recently, it was part of a museum collection. The car runs well and can be driven anywhere. Under this Impala's hood is a 283-cu.in. OHV V8 engine, which was optional for the 1963 SS and rated at 195 horsepower when new. It's unknown whether it's original to the car, but the seller notes it starts easily and runs well, with no smoke. The engine is paired with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission that is said to shift smoothly. - little if any powertrain leaks. In the photos, the engine and engine compartment appear very clean.
