 Vehicle Description
Tri-Five Chevys remain popular canvasses for custom builds and this 1956 Chevrolet 210 Two-Door Sedan underwent a restomod makeover that was completed less than two years ago, who purchased it through a classic car dealer. Its equipment roster includes a 383-cubic-inch small-block V8, a four-speed automatic transmission, 9-inch rear axle, Wilwood disc brakes, air conditioning, a leather-trimmed interior and more. The car has seen approximately 2,000 miles since completion and is said to be in very good overall condition'and has even earned a show trophy. - the engine in this '56 Chevy is a stroker 383-cu.in. OHV V8 that was installed in November 2022. It breathes through a Proform 650 four-barrel carburetor mounted on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. There's no choke, notes the seller, but the engine is said to start easily and idle well after a minute or so of warm-up. It does not smoke upon start-up, notes the seller. The engine is also equipped with headers and the cooling system includes an aluminum radiator fitted with an electric fan. Backing the 383 is a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission that's said to shift perfectly, and it sends torque to a Ford 9-inch rear axle equipped with Moser axles, a limited-slip differential, and 3.70 gears. The only noted powertrain leak is from the power steering system. Wearing a classic Turquoise-and-White color scheme, the body on this Tri-Five appears very straight. The paint is to be in very good overall condition, with no scratches, swirl marks, or dents, but the passenger's door appears to have rubbed against the right-front fender when opened and chipped some of the paint on both sides of the gap. Thechrome and exterior bright work, stainless, and body emblems appear in very good condition, while the car's glass is said to be in good shape, too, with no scratches or cracks in the replacement windshield. The seals are said to be excellent, and all the exterior lights are said to be in working order - The interior of this '56 has been revamped and features replacement seats trimmed in gray leather; a custom center console; a tilting steering column with an aftermarket steering wheel; replacement gauges, including a tachometer mounted on the steering column; air conditioning; custom-trimmed door panels; and a modern Pioneer radio mounted in a custom enclosure beneath the dashboard. The upholstery, carpet, and headliner are said to be in excellent condition, with little apparent wear. and the same goes for the door panels. The air conditioning system is said to be in working order and while all the gauges are said to be functional, the speedometer reportedly reads fast, due to the car's gearing. - the radio has a remote control. - - there's no known rust in the chassis and the suspension and braking elements are in good order, but with a slight leak at the power steering pump. The front suspension's ride height was lowered and photos show tubular upper control arms for the front suspension. The brakes were converted to four-wheel discs. The car is said to drive smoothly, with minor play in the steering wheel, rolling on Hankook Ventus tires that are mounted on American Racing wheels. All are said to be in very good shape, with no curb rash or pitting on the wheels. The tires are said to be five years old, but their DOT date codes are not visible in the photos. An inspection is recommended prior to highway driving. Additional documentation for this 1956 Chevrolet 210 Two-Door Sedan includes paperwork from the shop that built the car in 2022. It appears in very good condition, powered by a 383 small-block featuring restomod updates including an overdrive transmission, disc brakes, and air conditioning that help make this classic a more confident and comfortable cruiser.
